Bubble Cage

The ADDEX Bubble Cage is a robust guiding system for the extruded film bubble. It consists of a rigid tubular frame and an adjusting system with nine movable roller guide segments, spaced equally around the periphery. Each guide segment features six arms beaded with low friction rollers and is attached to a scissor action mechanism, which permits smooth, accurate, and most importantly, perpendicular opening or closing to conform to the bubble diameter. Due to the considerable increases in the price of steel and aluminum, in 2005 ADDEX started to offer also a less costly version of the Bubble Cage. The cage height adjustment and guide opening or closing are both accomplished via motor driven spindles, controlled from pushbuttons on or near the main operator control panel.
