Addex lines are designed for high output and low film thickness variation. In most cases this means they are equipped with IBC (Internal Bubble Cooling) and AGCs (Automatic Gauge Controls). They can be further enhanced for Tight Layflat Control (IBC valve), flat and wrinkle-free film (MDO Lite) or camber-free film (GBR).
The lines can incorporate:
Single-to-9-layer dies, 2in/50 mm – 80in/2000 mm in diameter
2in/50 mm – 4.5in/120 mm extruders
24in/610 mm – 144in/3660 mm rollface downstream equipment
The Talon Computerized Line Control ties all components together providing access to all parameters from a single location via a Supervisory computer with touch screen. However, the line can be run also when Talon is off-line. This is made possible by the individual component controls. For example, each extruder has its own controllable EM-3, Eurotherm control system that communicates with the Supervisory system but can function independently as well.
The Supervisory Control software provides access to all extruder parameters (SPC, Line Graphs, Recipe Management, Trending, Multiple Windows, Multi-Lingual) and all line control parameters. Due to their remote location the SUPERWIND, GBR, Nips and Collapsers have additional local controls.
The Addex lines can run mono or coextruded LDPEs, LLDPEs, Metallocenes, HDPEs, ULDPEs, PSs or coextruded Polyamides, EVOHs, PUs, PVDCs and other exotic materials.
While most line components are designed and manufactured by Addex there are several auxiliaries sourced from other reputable companies like Pillar (treaters), Measuretech, Kundig and NDC (thickness sensors), Process Control Corp., TSM (blenders), Key Filters, Dynisco (hydraulic screen changers).
